If so, let Susie the Scientist and Millie the Mathematician help – from only 62c per book!
Suzie the Scientist and Millie the Mathematician home reader books are now available in print and digital e-book versions for use at school and at home. Based on the Australian Curriculum in Science and Maths, these learn-to-read books are designed to engage kids, enrich classrooms and empower parents in the home-reading process. The books are designed to explore mathematical and scientific concepts while developing and improving your child’s reading literacies and fluency.
Developed by Griffith University in partnership P&Cs Qld, both of the 24-book series are written to link directly with classroom learning and align to learning outcomes across the strands and sub-strands of the Australian Curriculum in both Science and Maths. Spanning PM reading levels 1-24, these books are suitable for children from pre-K up to Year 2 (and beyond).
“Congratulations on the series. Staff here were very impressed with the content, links to curriculum and value for money!” Vicki, Principal, SA
“It was great to see the Honourable Grace Grace, Minister for Education and Industrial Relations launch Millie the Mathematician earlier this month, after also launching Suzie the Scientist last year. In such a short period, there are now over 120,000 individual titles in schools and homes across Australia. A fantastic result demonstrating the quality of these new learn-to-read resources” Prof Richard John, Griffith University, Series Creator and Author
Now is the time for your P&C Association to secure these books for your school and to promote these wonderful resources among your parents. A special buy 2 get 1 free offer is available for P&C Associations across Qld – that’s 72 print books for under $200!
For parents at home, you can download the full-set of 24 e-books from the i-Bookstore for only $14.99 – that’s 62c per book!
“I just thought I would send you an email to let you know how happy we are with the Mille the Mathematician and Suzie the Scientist books; I’ve been working them in with my son’s home reading from school. What a great initiative, there is far too much mathematical and scientific illiteracy floating around.” Sara, Mum, QLD
“The Millie and Suzie books look wonderful. So excited by the availability of books on a digital platform as well.” Polly, Teacher, VIC
