In 2022 we will celebrate Qld Council of Parents and Citizens’ Association’s (QCPCA) 75th year. Over the past 73 years, QCPCA, through P&Cs Qld and more recently School Councils Qld, has engaged with thousands of state school P&C members, parents, children, principals, education stakeholders and Departmental representatives.
To help us celebrate our 75th year in 2022, P&Cs Qld is collecting QCPCA histories, stories and memorabilia held by members past and present to create a digital timeline which will serve as permanent historical record of the achievements and activities of our organisation.
If you have played a part in this history we invite you to contribute to the Diamond Jubilee project by COMPLETING OUR SURVEY outlining your role, involvement in any key issues, and any stories or memorabilia you wish to share. In order to have the timeline completed by 2022 we ask that you complete the survey by June 2021. You can contact our office anytime by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with Diamond Jubilee as the subject line.
We know that parents and P&Cs have had an active involvement in shaping Queensland education and school communities.
TELL US YOUR STORY We want to hear your stories about how you, or someone you know, has advocated for change and contributed to the advancement of state school education in Queensland.
Were you involved in key issues during your time as a QCPCA President, Executive Member or Life Member? How did you follow up on your areas of interest or policy?
Issues of interest might include advocacy, developments in education/curriculum, student safety and welfare, parent engagement, funding, insurance, legislation, behaviour management, school governance, Principal selection, improving P&C business operations, or fundraising ventures.
Help us record our history at the State Office
