In a slight change to the previously advertised plan, the Webinar regarding the OSHC Rates of Pay will now take place on Tuesday 30 June, at 10:30-11:00. On Tuesday, 9 June, we will now have a Webinar giving you an overview of the Reportable Conduct Scheme, which comes into effect on 1 July 2026.
The Reportable Conduct Scheme requires organisations to report and investigate allegations of child abuse and misconduct by their workers. Only P&C-run OSHCs will need to perform this reporting- other P&C business streams will be covered by the School for reporting purposes.
The webinar will be held at 10:30-11:00 on Tuesday, 9 June, and whilst it is of particular relevance to P&C-run OSHCs, it will be available to all P&Cs.
Please email [email protected] to request an invite to the webinar.

Why schools are switching to Hydrobank
|
|
|
|
Old-school troughs do not make water easy to choose. They look tired, slow students down, and do little to make hydration inviting.
Aquafil Hydrobank was designed to fix that.
Built for busy school life, it brings together:
|
|
|
|
- drinking fountains and bottle refills in one station
- three bottle refill outlets and three fountains
- single-handed, no-spill refills
- practical button and fountain heights
- knee and foot clearance for universal access
- slimline nozzles and a raised refill point to support better hygiene
- artwork, school colours, and personalised messages
|
|
|
The result is simple.
Water is easier to find, easier to use, and easier to choose during the school day.

PCYC Queensland recently asked some of the young people who attend their free youth programs, to share how PCYC helps them manage emotions and built-up stress in positive ways.
“When I come to PCYC, I’m usually really stressed and angry, and then it’s like all that lets go,” said Tila. “I can focus more now on school.”
“CHAMP makes me believe in myself and have better self-confidence. It feels like relief of stress,” said Millie.
Imogen adds: “If it’s been a long day, and I come here after school, it’s really refreshing, because I’m leaving all that behind me and it’s a different focus.”
PCYC Queensland is a trusted not-for-profit charity. Right now, more young people than ever before are attending PCYC Queensland looking for support and healthy ways to manage stress. As the end of the financial year approaches, help them make a difference.

If your P&C is running the school tuckshop and you’re considering a new or simpler way to manage online ordering and payments, make sure you visit Flexischools at the P&Cs Qld Conference (Booth 10).
Flexischools is pleased to support Queensland P&Cs by offering a limited time incentive for P&Cs Qld members that switch their tuckshop to Flexischools.
The Conference provides an ideal opportunity to speak directly with the Flexischools team and understand how the offer could support your school.
We are looking to support P&Cs Qld members with 10 × $500 donations to eligible P&Cs. The $500 donation is applied to the first school event run through Flexischools, once the tuckshop is live, ensuring everything is fully set up before receiving the donation.
Switch your tuckshop to Flexischools, then use your new Flexischools service for your next P&C fundraiser, and Flexischools will donate $500 to your P&C’s event, like a BBQ or Father’s Day stall. Our customer support team will also be on hand to help you set the event up online.
At the Flexischools booth, you can check your P&C’s eligibility, talk through setup or transition and ask questions specific to your school.

New to the P&C Treasurer role? Wondering if the numbers are telling the whole story?
Taking on the role of P&C Treasurer comes with significant responsibility. You're entrusted with managing community funds, ensuring compliance, and helping your committee make informed decisions. When finances are under pressure or the P&C isn't achieving the results expected, it's often the Treasurer who is asked to provide the answers.
That's where Vital Business Services can help.
As the preferred financial services provider for P&C Queensland, we work alongside Treasurers to provide confidence, clarity, and peace of mind by ensuring your P&C is:
Compliant with P&C Queensland requirements and regulatory obligations
Transparent in its financial reporting and governance practices
Accurate in applying accounting principles and managing funds
Equipped with meaningful financial insights to support better decision-making
The P&C Accounting Manual and the Parents and Citizens Associations Award contain specialised requirements that many local bookkeepers and accountants rarely encounter. Our team works with P&Cs every day and understands the unique financial, payroll, governance, and compliance challenges faced by school communities.
With Vital Business Services by your side, you can be confident that your financial records are accurate, your obligations are being met, and every dollar raised is delivering maximum value to your school community.
Confidence Starts with Knowing Your Numbers. Confidence Comes from Having the Right Team Beside You.

This newsletter is sent to your generic P&C email address supplied by the Department of Education (e.g. [email protected]). This generic email address is managed by the school’s MIS administrator, NOT by P&Cs Qld. The MIS administrator sets up the generic email address and P&C-e is automatically forwarded to your P&C executive and other members linked to it.

Never “unsubscribe” to P&C-e from the P&C generic email address as this will also unsubscribe all other P&C members linked to the generic email address who then will miss out on important information and updates.
