This year, for the first time in our 70-year history, we are working with the Department of Education to deliver a unique Queensland perspective on parent engagement in our state schools.

Throughout the conference we will be exploring the Queensland Department of Education Parent and Community Engagement (PACE) Framework, and what this means for parents, teachers and principals in ensuring that every child has every chance for success. In addition, you will be able to choose from breakout sessions with engaging speakers tailored for P&C representatives or education staff.

As one of Australia’s leading parent advocacy and support groups, P&Cs Qld is pleased to be joined by many national education partners and statewide parent advocates, the Australian Council of State School Organisations and all of the state school Principals’ Associations.

P&C representatives attending the conference fits within the Constitutional function and powers of an Association. Attendance at the conference is considered a P&C expense and is able to be paid for from P&C funds. Remember that proposed expenditure of P&C funds must be put forward as a motion and passed at a duly constituted meeting of the P&C.

  • Submitting an expression of interest for a part-funded place does not automatically result in a place being offered.
  • All EOIs will be evaluated and applicants will be notified of the outcome shortly after 22 June 2018.
  • If your application is unsuccessful, we still encourage you and your team to register and will honour the earlybird rate, providing your EOI is received by 22 June 2018.
